Revelation from the Church of the Restored Gospel

READER POST: RMN: Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed by thy name. I come before you to plead on behalf of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What would thou have thy prophet tell the Saints, those striving to be thy people?

GOD: Preach repentance and love.

RMN: Our great missionary program is waning in numbers and our retention of converts is not improving. What should I say to the mission presidents?

GOD: Preach repentance and love.

RMN: What do I say to these women that are challenging the patriarchal order?

GOD: Preach love and repentance.

RMN: OK, but what do I say about the terrible curse of the homosexual and other deviant communities?

GOD: Preach love and repentance.

RMN: Seriously? But, what will that look like to the rest of the world? We are supposed to be a peculiar people and stand for righteousness.

GOD: OK, so The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints… Do you see middle words? Who should be the focus? Jesus Christ. He preached repentance and love, love and repentance.

RMN: Got it. Focus on the name of the church. The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints!

GOD: Face-palm.
